Anti-CD26 Humanized Monoclonal Antibody R&D Stage: IND
YSCMA is a preclinical stage humanized monoclonal antibody project targeted for the treatment of solid tumors and hematological cancers.
The target antigen, CD26 is a transmembrane glycoprotein found on selected tissues, including leukocyte subsets as well as some solid tumors such as mesothelioma, NSCLC, hepatocellular carcinoma, renal cell carcinoma, and prostate cancer. The target is found to be upregulated in activated malignancies.
Multiple biological functions of the target antigen have been identified including T-cell activation, processing of biological factors, interaction with extracellular matrix, and tumor development.
The monoclonal antibodies selected for further development have demonstrated antitumor activity in animal xenograft models.
A successful GMP manufacturing run was completed in July 2007, and an IND in oncology submitted to the FDA in early 2008, and is currently in effect.
