Top > Project Overview > What's Bio?
Biotechnology is a scientific process applying features of living organisms to develop medication and other products. Fermentation and breeding has been traditional use of biotechnology, and genetic engineering that emerged in the 1970's is called "new bio". Our efforts of developing molecular-targeted drugs are based on "new bio".
Molecular-targeted drugs identify antigens, which are over expressed on particular malignant cells. A monoclonal antibody is a highly purified protein derived from a single clone of cells and identifies a single antigen.
